Most Memorable Show: Jeff Wright of Kinky Rhino

AAS

We had the opportunity to ask Jeff Wright from Kinky Rhino what the most memorable show that the band played has been so far. Read it below!

A few weeks ago we had to say goodbye to our lead guitar player, Tony Aguirre. We knew this was coming for a while because Tony had just gotten married and had huge career opportunities coming his way, the kind that no one should pass up. It was a friendly goodbye, not a break up, and I doubt it is the last we will see of him. His last performance with us was in Rochester, NY at a great venue called The Bug Jar. The room was packed full of familiar faces who all came out to send Tony off in style. As soon as our set began the crowd rushed the stage. It was the real thing, no one was shy about dancing, no one hid in the back, they were yelling at us between songs, and everyone was having a blast. We got emotional for a quick second before the last song when we said our loving farewell to our friend, but then it was back into party mode. We closed the night by forcing Tony to shred Van Halen’s eruption alone on stage… that boy is good! We hung around the bar until closing time, we shot pool, we drank beer, we took shots; it was a night none of us will ever forget or fully remember. No huge crowd and no sold out venue can ever match the feeling you get when you know everyone in the room loves you.
