Bloodywood with The Pretty Wild, Ladrones, and Ankor

Mercury Ballroom

Louisville, KY

May 13th, 2026

On May 13th, Bloodywood, an Indian metal band from New Delhi, brought their System Of A Brown US Tour 2026 to Mercury Ballroom to a packed house! There is something exciting about going into a show not knowing what to expect. I had recently learned about Bloodywood from a couple of acquaintances who told me I had to check out the band and see them live. And I am so glad that I did. From the moment they stepped foot onto the stage, they had the crowd cheering, wowing their fans with a fun, engaging, and high-energy set. Blending traditional Indian folk sounds, by featuring a live dhol drummer and a guitarist who also plays the flute, with more modern metal, they showcased their unique sound and electric stage presence. The band performed songs from their debut studio album Rakshak (2022) and their latest album New Delhi (2025), as well as a couple of singles that included “Bekhauf” that features the band Babymetal. The band gave 110% to their fans throughout the set and the fans reciprocated that energy back to the band! Towards the end of the set, Sarthak Pahwa, who plays the dhol, got out into the crowd and played, adding to the excitement of the evening! Chatting a bit with the crowd between songs, the band seemed genuinely grateful for the support they have received from their fans, citing how hard it is for artists to tour these days due to rising costs of touring. They proved this evening that their live shows are not to be missed! Opening the show this evening were Spanish alternative metal band Ankor, Ladrones, a Mexican band that mixes metal, hip hop, and regional Mexican music, and Las Vegas metal band The Pretty Wild, featuring sisters Jyl and Jules Wylde. It was a wildly fun night, from start to finish, with each band getting the crowd moving with their high-energy sets and crowd engagement!
