Taking Back Sunday with Red City Radio
House OF Blues
Cleveland, OH
October 21st & 22nd, 2019

Taking Back Sunday celebrated their 20th anniversary at the House Of Blues in Cleveland by playing for two consecutive nights. Opening up was a punk rock band from Oklahoma, Red City Radio. They did an amazing job and I enjoyed their set immensely.

Both nights started off with the Taking Back Sunday playing their debut album “Tell All Your Friends” in its entirety. Fans sang along to every word with their hands in the air. It was a treat to hear some songs off the album that have not been played as frequently in the past, like “Head Club”.

On night one the band invited a fan from the audience up on stage for the coin toss, landing on “Louder Now“, which was then played in its entirety during the second set of the night. It also meant, “Where You Want to Be” would be played the following night.

I really love the concept of the coin toss and for die-hard fans to hear three full albums during the two nights, is simply amazing.

They finished both nights with a really strong three-song encore and left the fans wanting even more. We can’t wait for them to come back to Ohio and see what the next 20 years have in store for Taking Back Sunday.
