Twenty One Pilots with Dayglow
Coca-Cola Amphitheater
Birmingham, Alabama
October 17th, 2025
This past Friday, Twenty One Pilots made their way to Birmingham, Alabama on final leg of their tour- The Clancy Tour: Breach. I watched fans file into the venue, many of them dressed up as characters from the storyline that the band has been sharing through their albums and music videos over the past ten years. Some fans said this was their first time seeing them live and others had been to more shows than I can count on my hand. People of all ages were attending this concert which was a very cool thing to see.
Alternative/indie band, Dayglow, kicked off the night as many fans started to settle in. Their set was calm and collected but still held the crowd’s attention in preparation for what was to come. They played some of their hits such as, “Hot Rod” and “Close to You.” Many of the fans in the crowd were shouting lyrics and dancing with one another, a sweet sight to see.
Minutes went by, fans were anxiously awaiting for Twenty One Pilots to take the stage. The lights dimmed and thousands of fans screamed at the top of their lungs as the first notes to “Overcompensate” started to play. Drummer, Josh Dun, made his way to the the drum set and Singer, Tyler Joseph, entered by jumping off his piano onto the stage. I had chills from how loud the crowd was cheering as Tyler started to sing.
They have some incredible transitions between songs that I haven’t seen many bands do. Going from their hit single, “Heathens” into “Next Semester,” as well has “Nico and the Niners” into “Heavydirtysoul.” The fans were in awe.
As the night went on, Tyler and Josh made their way through the crowd a handful of times, moving from one spot to another to engage with the crowd towards the back of the venue. Fans high-fived them both along the way. Seeing the faces of fans was unforgettable as they made their way to the B-stage where they performed some fan favorites such as, “Message Man” and “Polarize.”
They ended their set, as they always do, by playing “Trees.” A staple when it comes to closing out their set. This band knows how to put on a show and keep everyone in the crowd involved. There is not a single bad seat at a Twenty One Pilots concert. They have only a few remaining shows on this tour that you can catch here.
