November 15th, 2025

November 15th was a memorable and emotional evening for many fans as beloved local band Murder By Death performed the final show of their final tour, a homecoming of sorts. Singer/guitarist Adam Turla said that although the band will continue playing their cave shows (The Caverns in Pelham, TN), every year, this is the end of the road as far as touring. After 25 years as a band and on the road, the band is ready to rest and focus on other aspects of their lives. At the start of their set, Turla told the crowd how it was going to be a good but sad night that we would get through it together. Starting their set off with “Riders”, “Until Morale Improves, The Beatings Will Continue”, and “Brother”, he announced that the band would perform a long and varied set, with 2-3 songs from each of their 10 albums! True to their word, the band delighted their fans with a 24-song set list that had everyone singing and dancing all night. The venue had such an incredible energy, with fans visibly excited and singing along and dancing to each song. It was a huge party, especially when, about halfway through the set, the band performed the always enjoyable “”Pizza Party (at Gloria Estefan’s house)”, that had full crowd participation! Towards the end of the set, Turla talked about past band members and how over the years they had spent a lot of time making music together and he wanted to acknowledge them! He also introduced and acknowledged the current band members, as well! It was a night full of fond memories and gratitude towards of their fans who have supported them over the years. Although a bittersweet evening, it was filled with the energy of love and joy and best wishes for the band’s next chapter (which does include a new album soon)! It was a perfect evening of music! Getting the evening started were BJ Barham (of American Aquariam) performing a solo set and J Roddy Walston, who both got the crowd warmed up and ready for the evening ahead!
