Paleface Swiss with Stick To Your Guns and Nasty
Mercury Ballroom
Louisville, KY
April 4th, 2025
Swiss deathcore band Paleface Swiss brought their ‘The Cursed Tour’ to Mercury Ballroom on April 4th to a sold out crowd! I remember seeing these guys last year opening for The Ghost Inside and being impressed with their energy and crowd engagement, making it their goal to ensure that everyone was having a good time. This evening was no different, with singer Marc “Zelli” Zellweger being a bundle of energy as soon as the band walked out on stage, going out in the crowd early in the set to sing amongst the fans. The band has released three studio albums, with their most recent album Cursed being released in January of this year. They started out their set with three songs from the new album- “un pobre niño murió”, “Hatred”, and “My Blood On Your Hands”. They also included some older songs, such as “Nail To The Tooth”, “Pain”, “Supressing Times”, and “666”. Whether they were driving their set with heavy and crushing sounds or a lighter and more melodic tone, the crowd responded with a force of energy that they maintained throughout the evening. It was nice to see the band really connect with their fans this evening, with Zellweger saying early on how nice it was to be back in Louisville and asking the crowd “Prove to me that it was the right decision to come back to Louisville!”. The fans spent the entirety of the band’s set proving to the band that it was! With a set that spanned 16 songs, the band gave their fans a fun and dynamic evening that they won’t soon forget! Opening the show this evening was California hardcore punk band Stick To Your Guns and Belgian/German metalcore band Nasty, who really warmed up the crowd with their high-energy sets!
