I have two things to say about this show – First is that I have never seen a band with such a dedicated fan base. Every single person in the arena had some form of twenty one pilots merch, be it a bracelet or a shirt, and most of the fans had on the duck-tape from the jumpsuit music video. Whole families were in the Trench spirit (just an FYI – dads LOVE twenty one pilots) which really goes to show the reach that their music has.

The second thing is that this is the first band that I’ve seen where I was happy to not be in the G.A. pit. The dynamic duo that makes up twenty one pilots, Tyler Joseph (vocals/guitar/piano) and Josh Dunn (drums/backflips), ensures that they use the whole arena when putting on their performance: From falling back on stage and landing in the middle of the nose bleed seats to walking above the crowd on a thin catwalk. Being high up gave me the opportunity to see the whole show. This night was an entire experience that you’ll regret not seeing if you are lucky enough to have the chance.

twenty one pilots was also supported by New York indie rockers Bear Hand during this run of their Bandito Tour which finishes up August 11th in California.
