The Midnight with Jessie Frye

Paristown Hall

Louisville, KY

October 13th, 2026

LA synthwave band The Midnight brought their Time Machines North American Fall 2026 Tour to Paristown Hall on October 13th to a packed venue of excited fans! I remember seeing them in Louisville in 2019 (when Tim McEwan was still touring) and being blown away by their live show and the energy from the sold-out crowd! When I saw they were playing here again, I knew I had to go! The mood was high this evening and the fans were eager to dance and hear the band play their favorite songs. The lighting and stage production were incredible, with the band engaging frequently with each other and the crowd. In addition to playing songs from their latest album Syndicate, including “Friction”, “Sanctuary”, and “The Right Way”, the band also performed songs from their popular 2016 album Endless Summer, which turned 10 years old this year. Getting to hear so many fan-favorites was such a treat, with the band performing “Good In Red”, “Jason”, “Gloria”, “Days of Thunder”, “Los Angeles”, “The Comeback Kid” and “Vampires” (with the saxophone player ending the song in the crowd with a killer solo!). Singer/guitarist Tyler Lyle chatted a good amount with the crowd between songs, whether talking about the meaning behind some of the songs, about going through hard times and how they don’t last forever (before “The Comeback Kid”), or expressing gratitude towards the fans for their support over the years, and it was clear that the band and their fans have a mutual love and respect for each other. Synth-pop artist Jessie Frye opened the show this evening with a fun and energetic set that really got the crowd going and even joined The Midnight on a couple of songs during their set! It was a really fun night full of singing and dancing and great music!
