April 17th, 2026

Mercury Ballroom

Louisville, KY

On April 17th, melodic death metal band The Black Dahlia Murder brought their Spring Fling U.S. Tour to Mercury Ballroom for a sold-out show! Every part of the venue was filled this evening with fans, from the floor to the balcony, all of them ready for a fun night of music, moshing, and crowd-surfing. The band started off their set with “Unhallowed” and “Funeral Thirst”, from their 2003 album Unhallowed, and “Nightbringers”, from their 2017 album Nightbringers. They proceeded to perform a nice mix of older and newer tracks that included “Evening Ephemeral”, “Flies”, “Nocturnal”, “Malenchantments of The Necrosphere”, “Cursed Creator”, and “Statutory Ape”, which saw them bring a person in a gorilla costume out on stage to dance around and throw an inflatable banana balloon out in the crowd to be tossed around! It was a fun moment during the set, for sure! The band, which consisted of Brian Eschbach (vocal/rhythm guitar), Max Lavelle (bass), Alan Cassidy (drums), Ryan Knight (rhythm guitar/lead guitar/backing vocal), and Wes Hauch (lead guitar), were all in synch and having a great time together on stage, as well as making sure the fans were engaged and having a good time. Ending the evening with “I Will Return” and “Deathmask Divine”, they gave their fans a great and energetic night of music. Opening the show this evening was Texas death metal band Corpse Pile, Missouri deathcore band Disembodied Tyrant, and New York metalcore band The Acacia Strain.
