Pussy Riot to embark on North American tour, to play massive New York City show

Many people know of the Russian protest punk band Pussy Riot through video footage of their demonstrations and protests against the Russian government. Just before the new year, the punk group announced that they will be embarking on a North American headlining tour this spring. Starting on March 13 in Los Angeles, the tour will trek across North America including stops in Portland, Chicago and a sold out show at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn, New York.

Pussy Riot has recently voiced their thoughts on American legislature, teaming up with other artists like Lizzo, Foo Fighters and The 1975 to name a few, to sign a letter in support of Planned Parenthood’s recent #BansOffMyBody initiative. Pussy Riot also staged a benefit show in Birmingham, AL in July 2019, to protest the state’s strict anti-abortion legislation. Along those lines, Pussy Riot has teamed up with PLUS1 on this upcoming tour, to donate one dollar from every ticket sold to the cities local Planned Parenthood location.

The tour teaser that was released at the end of 2019, shows fans what to expect on this upcoming tour, featuring snippets of Pussy Riot’s live show. The teaser also features listeners first taste of new music. You can watch the teaser below:

The tour will roll through the northeast, stopping in New York on April 2nd. Pussy Riot will take over one of Brooklyn’s largest warehouse venues, The Kings Hall at Avant Gardner in Williamsburg. The show is well on its way to selling out so it is imperative to purchase your tickets today if you intend on seeing the iconic Russian group. We can’t wait and are already counting down the days until Pussy Riot invade Brooklyn!

We will be attending the Kings Hall performance to capture the essence and party that is sure to erupt that evening! Stay tuned for more info!
