Iconic musician Jerry Cantrell, singer/guitarist for legendary grunge band Alice In Chains, as well as an accomplished solo artist, brought his I Want Blood Tour to a sold out show at Mercury Ballroom on February 16th. Touring in support of his fourth solo album I Want Blood, released last year, the venue was packed with fans who were ready to rock out this evening. Starting out the set with “Psychotic Break” from his 2002 album Degradation Trip, Cantrell performed a nice selection of solo material, along with Alice In Chains favorites such as “Them Bones”, “Sea of Sorrow”, “Hate To Feel”, “Would?”, and “Rooster”, with the fans singing along all evening with their hands in the air. Cantrell and his band sounded great, with his distinct and recognizable voice echoing throughout the venue with each song, with the band having a great time together on stage and with the crowd. Cantrell’s band included vocalist Greg Puciato who complimented Cantrell’s voice perfectly, providing some nice harmonies and stand-alone vocals. It was a really great mix of solo material and Alice In Chains songs, with the fans visibly having a great time! Rock band Filter opened the show and really got the crowd warmed up for the evening! The crowd went especially wild when they played their hit songs “Take A Picture” and “Hey Man Nice Shot”. It was a rockin night of music!
