Alternative R&B singer-songwriter Jada Michael has released the visualizer for self-love anthem “GO”

Alternative R&B singer-songwriter Jada Michael has released the visualizer for self-love anthem “GO,” inspired by her journey out of abusive relationships. The track has been burning up airwaves at radio and is currently #42 this week on the AC chart, with Jada representing the only indie artist in the top 50. The track marks a massive spiritual ‘coming of age’ for Jada, highlighting her journey of self-respect and knowing her worth. Without filter or fear, Jada Michael unapologetically projects a confident spirit within her music anchored in a body, sex, and self-positive presence underscored by an inimitable alternative R&B brew. Empowering audiences by wholeheartedly and courageously showing herself, Jada represents plus-sized women, LGBTQ women, and women of color. She is proud of her body type, sexuality and skin and wants her listeners to feel confident through her music.

“‘GO’ comes at a time where I have finally established what I want and don’t want out of life. I was hospitalized for mental health and feeling completely drained by some personal relationships. Part of that stemmed from not understanding my place in this life as a person who’s desires never seem to align with society’s desires,” shares Jada. “It got to a place where I truly didn’t know if a person like me was meant for a society like this but with patience and love, I have been able to shift to being my own source of light. Empowering that light also brought me closer to the one thing that has never, not once, EVER failed to bring me peace: MUSIC. I feel entirely ready to jump in and pursue that dream full force. This song is a way for me to share that growth and I hope that mindset can rub off on anyone who listens.”

“GO” kicks off a new era for Jada musically as the follow up to her 2020 release of “Freak” which received an array of praise from media and fans alike. Written about an intimate night with her boo, the sultry production of “Freak” sizzles underneath seductive verses before she makes a bold declaration on the hook. Her voice slips from moments of under-the-covers intimacy right into the charismatic chorus. Jada’s music has amassed over two million streams independently and initial compositions “Beautiful” and “Special” caught the attention of high-profile GRAMMY® Award-winning producers and musicians such as the late LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels [Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez], Novel, Adrian “Drop” Santella [Diddy, Pitbull, Kanye West], and Bart Schoudel [Selena Gomez]. Produced by “Big Shiz,” Jada’s lead 2019 single “Breathe” tallied over 1 million YouTube views and 260K Spotify streams with broadcast support from BET. On its heels, “Coolin’ It” put up over 500K Spotify streams and counting. When the Reno-born and Miami-based songstress grabs the microphone, all eyes immediately lock on her. Jada started singing at just three-years-old. Inspired by Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Ella Fitzgerald (thanks to her dad), she diligently developed her voice. Moving to Miami at the age of twelve, she divided her time between choir and musical theater, penning her first songs in junior year of high school. Studying Jazz Voice at The New School in New York City, she carefully crafted a style of her own upon returning home. You can connect with Jada Michael via the following links.
