Third Eye Blind
Ford Field Park – Dearborn Homecoming Festival
Dearborn, MI
August 03, 2025
Last Sunday night, Ford Field Park turned into a dreamscape for 90s alt-rock fans as Third Eye Blind headlined the final night of the Dearborn Homecoming Festival. But before the guitars roared and the choruses soared, the band had to overcome one major obstacle: they almost didn’t make it to Michigan.
Due to a string of unexpected travel delays earlier in the day, Third Eye Blind found themselves stranded and hours behind schedule. In true rock-and-roll fashion (and with a bit of heroic effort from their team) they chartered a private jet just to make it to Dearborn in time.
With a 15 minute delay, Third Eye Blind delivered a perfectly curated 15-song set including deep cuts, fan favorites, and a new track “Like a Lullaby” that proved they’re still pushing creative boundaries.
Songs like “Graduate” and “Losing a Whole Year” had the crowd jumping like it was 1998 all over again.
One of the night’s most magical moments came during “Shipboard Cook” which was played accustic by frontman Stephen Jenkins. He stepped back from the mic and let the crowd sing the chorus in unison, creating a euphoric moment of connection. It was the kind of spontaneous energy that festivals thrive on.
And of course, “Semi-Charmed Life” was everything you’d expect and “How’s It Going to Be” served as a perfect, sentimental send-off under the Michigan night sky.
