Nothing is better than an awesome show for an awesome cause! On Thursday September 5th, 2019, the Make the World Better foundation threw a benefit show at the Dell Music Center in Philadelphia. The Make the World Better donation is an organization that focuses on community based redevelopment projects.
This year’s lineup featured Strand of Oaks opening for Hop Along and Future Islands. As the sun was setting, the stage was surrounded by a vibrant magenta sky and filled with deep blue stage lights. The District Attorney of Pennsylvania, Larry Krasner, introduced Strand of Oaks and welcomed them to the stage. Their set was captivating, and a wonderful opening to the rest of the evening. Their finale was the song “Forever Chords,” with the lyrics “You hope it never ends. I hope it never ends,” a truly fitting end to a beautiful set.
