Sonic Boom 2014 kicked off with a wonderful evening of music on Friday, August 30th, 2014. Fans from all across the province made their way to Northlands Grounds in Edmonton, AB to watch a ton of spectacular bands over the weekend.
The New Pornographers played a wonderful set filled with songs from their new album <i>Brill Bruisers</i>. The group has a very eclectic sound and played an overall fun set.
Next up, The Descendents completely killed it with their classic punk rock set that put the crowd into a generally estatic vibe. It is clear that even though they’ve been playing music live for decades, they totally love what they do.
Rise Against closed the night up with a set filled with pure energy and power. They are known for playing very energetic live shows, and it proved to be an understatement for their set last night.
