Go By Ocean premieres their new track and video for “Nightmares”

San Francisco Indie Rock band Go By Ocean shares with us today the incredible new single and video for “Nightmares.”  The first release from the outfit in quite a while, the music and writing is stronger than ever.  Spearheaded by singer and songwriter Ryan McCaffrey, his storytelling approach helps to bring the piece to life…which immediately makes Go By Ocean a household name.  The video and song go together perfectly as one carries the other throughout.  ““Nightmares” is essentially about our subconscious playing out in our dreams,” says McCaffrey.  “How our minds deal with fear, jealousy, resentment and many other unsettled emotions.  For me, some of these nightmares have become a reality when these issues haven’t been processed.  However, the greater message in this song is hope and transcendence.  Making the best effort to work through these infections of the mind and find peace.”  Like many of Go By Ocean’s lyrics, they are heartfelt and offer a personal yet universal tale.  The video itself is equally as breathtaking as you can almost envision every note float inside of the video.  Directed by Jaffy Riddle, he elegantly brings the group’s song to life.  This is the first single from the forthcoming album Mend the Morning Light, out May 22nd.  Our eyes and ears are more eager than ever, as Go By Ocean is bound to be one of the standout artists of the year.  Go By Ocean is Ryan McCaffrey (vocals/guitar), Clay Welch (lead guitar), Steve Adams (bass/vocals), Cody Rhodes (drums) and Kevin Friedrichsen (synthesis).  You can follow Go By Ocean and stay up-to-date on all upcoming music, band and tour info, as well as stream and purchase their music, via the following links.
