Eric Krasno Announces new project KRAZ & a Brownstone concept album

Multi-Grammy Award winner Eric Krasno recently started releasing content from his new concept album TELESCOPE under the moniker KRAZ.  He is best known for his work with Soulive, Lettuce, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Pretty Lights.  The first single from the upcoming album is “Leave a Little”.  Check out the video for the song below, which introduces listeners to apartment 3A: Gina, a fading prom queen from the Midwest who now lives in the brownstone.  The steady beat underscores lyrical guitar and keys as KRAZ vocally details a night out with gorgeous femme fatale Gina. “Her existence is really dark,” he goes on. “‘Leave A Little” is the moment where she discovers she needs to start changing.”

A long lens zeroes in on a nondescript apartment building. The exterior hardly beckons a second glance.  TELESCOPE, Eric Krasno’s first release under the moniker KRAZ, is a unique concept album that revolves around the stories of a Brooklyn Brownstone and the characters living within. Three unique storylines will be revealed in the coming weeks, and what really matters happens behind closed doors… The complete project follows three apartments, the people residing in them, and how their lives intertwine with each other. Drawing inspiration from The Who’s ‘Tommy’ and David Bowie’s ‘Ziggy Stardust,’ KRAZ touches on the borough’s gentrification and evolution through their eyes and is loosely based on actual people that lived in the same brownstone as Eric over the last 18 years.

Eric Krasno’s virtuosic, innovative guitar playing has paved the way for experimental jam bands, his collaboration credits read like a who’s who of the music industry over the past decade… he’s been on stage supporting his friends the Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, The Roots, The Grateful Dead and more; he’s a Multi-GRAMMY Award Winner, and has worked behind the scenes as a producer and songwriter for everyone from Norah Jones, Tedeschi Trucks, and 50 Cent to Talib Kweli, Aaron Neville, Allen Stone and most recently Marcus King Band.  You can follow Eric Krasno and stay up-to-date with all upcoming news and tour dates, as well as stream and purchase his music, via the following links:
