Adam Melchor with Bandits on the Run
White Eagle Hall
Jersey City, NJ
December 3rd, 2021
On Friday, December 3rd, Adam Melchor returned to his home state of New Jersey for a fantastic night of music at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City.
Kicking off the night was the band Bandits on the Run, hailing from Brooklyn, NY. Full of energy, this acoustic indie pop trio had the crowd going.
Up next was the man plus his band of the hour, Adam Melchor. I first saw him back in 2018 at a venue down the road in this same city and have been a fan of his music ever since. It was very fitting to see him over three years later with fans singing along to his songs.
Backed by Matt Olsson on bass and Mano Ruiz on drums, Melchor had the crowd enamored while playing some songs off his latest album Melchor Lullaby Hotline Vol. 1 along with some of his previous releases. For one of his crowd favorites, “Real Estate,” Melchor was even joined by his father on guitar and it was a very special moment to witness, especially since this was one of his last shows for the tour he had been on for the past few months.
Another special moment was that for his encore, Melchor put on the NJ Devils jersey he had received with his name on the back earlier that day. Melchor is a huge fan of theirs and it was a very “full circle” moment.
Currently, Melchor is going on a hiatus to regroup and work on his next album, but you can catch him on tour the spring of 22’ with Chelsea Cutler.
Be sure to follow him on his socials for all of the latest!
