Coheed and Cambria brought their highly anticipated Unheavenly Skye Tour to the sold out Agora in Cleveland on Tuesday. The pit of the Agora was completely filled with excited fans even before Maps & Atlases took the stage. Much to my surprise, a lot of parents brought their kids to the show and even the little ones were singing along to the songs.

At 8:45pm Claudio Sanchez (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Travis Stever (guitars, vocals), Josh Eppard (drums, keyboards, backing vocals), and Zach Cooper (bass, backing vocals) took the stage and started the night with Prologue off their latest album The Unheavenly Creatures.

Claudio expressed his desire for “Cleveland, let’s make some noise” and the audience happily obliged. They played a great variety of songs from most of their albums and the fans, some who traveled far for this show, could not contain their excitement.

After 75 minutes the band left the stage, only to come back for an encore, playing You Got Spirit, Kid and Welcome Home.

This was my first time seeing Coheed and Cambria and definitely not my last. The band is going to Europe next, but they will be back for more US shows in May. Go catch a show when they are near you, you won’t regret it.
