Origami Angel with Saturdays At Your Place, Chase Petra, and Combat

Washington, D.C. rock band Origami Angel brought their 2025 US tour to Mercury Ballroom on June 10th where they performed a variety of songs, both older and newer. The duo, consisting of singer/guitarist Ryland Heagy and drummer Pat Doherty, released their latest album Feeling Not Found in September of last year and performed several tracks from the album this evening, including “Lost Signal”, “Dirty Mirror Selfie”, “Wretched Trajectory”, “Underneath My Skin”, “Higher Road”, and “Feeling Not Found”. They also performed older tracks, including “Bossa Nova Corps”, “Self Destruct”, “Noah Fence”, “24 Hr Drive-Thru”, “666 Flags”, “Skeleton Key”, and “Second Best Friend”. Although the band is just two members, they had the energy of a full-band, with Heagy’s infectious energy and Doherty driving drums beats! These guys really know how to get a crowd engaged and having fun, with everyone in the crowd singing and dancing and moshing-I even saw a few crowd surfers! At one point, while looking out onto the crowd, I saw a group of fans sitting down in the mosh pit and rowing in synch with the music, with several people joining in! It was clear that everyone was having fun and feeling very engaged with the music! The band rocked out with the fans for a 22 song set list that had had everyone in good spirits from start to finish! Combat, Chase Petra, and Saturdays At Your Place opened the show this evening making for a fun and energetic night all around.
