New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

New Orleans Fairgrounds, New Orleans, LA

April 24th, 2016

Each spring, New Orleanians and music lovers alike look forward to the ever-growing New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival at the New Orleans Fairgrounds. The 2 weekend event has grown to draw more and more festival goers each year, and this year was no exception. Locally referred to as “Jazz Fest,” the festival is known to encompass everything that is famous about New Orleans- good food, funky music, folk art, and beautiful people with unique style. Stitched Sound was invited to cover one of the Saturdays of the festival, and we caught some shots of Royal Teeth, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Red Hot Chili Peppers, J. Cole, and Nick Jonas. We are actually really glad that we were able to cover Jazz Fest on a day with beautiful weather, as part of the second weekend was unfortunately cancelled to torrential downpours and flooding. The shots below illustrate the colorful heritage of New Orleans and the people who take part in sharing the wonderful music of the festival and the city!
