Amaris premieres her debut indie pop single “Lemon, Lime & Bitters”

Amaris’s debut indie pop single “Lemon, Lime & Bitters” is a hauntingly beautiful track that encapsulates the grief and loss of the artist. The song not only serves as a tribute to her husband’s favorite drink, lemon, lime, & bitters, but also as an ode to the grief that she endured when she lost two babies and five family members in the span of one year.

“’Lemon, Lime & Bitters’ is a great example of how a song can gain power and further its meaning with time. I wrote it in November 2020. Back then, it was about me imagining a life without my husband by my side. Now, it’s about grief, loss and the will to overcome,” shares Amaris.

The song’s gentle and emotive guitar riff and Amaris’s delicate vocals invite the listener into her world of personal struggles. Her voice is reminiscent of Susan Tedeschi and her sound takes cues from The Killers, blending to create a unique sonic identity. The lyrics are deeply personal, and her songwriting abilities truly shine through in the poetic verses. Her journey to becoming a singer-songwriter is a unique one. She began composing songs at the age of six and taught herself to play guitar at 12. Her music is rooted in gospel and influenced by bands such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Joy Division/New Order, Hole, and The Drums. With her introspective songwriting approach, she creates a blend of goth music that is truly her own. “Lemon, Lime & Bitters” is a powerful song that showcases Amaris’s immense talent as a singer-songwriter. It’s a track that speaks to the difficult emotions that we all face, and her ability to put those emotions into words and music is nothing short of impressive. It’s a song that deserves to be heard and appreciated, and I have no doubt that it will resonate with listeners. You can connect with Amaris via the following links:
