After four years, a handful of singles, and nothing but anticipation from fans, No Pressure released their sophomore album NP Style on July 24th, 2026. Aptly named, the album delivers exactly what fans would both expect and most importantly, want after all of this time. NP Style is fast paced and high energy, delivering a dose of nostalgia that leaves you musically yearning for your youth coupled with lyrics that leave you feeling all too self-aware at how much time has changed. It feels like a callback to the days of Tony Hawk Pro-Skater soundtracks and summers spent between skateparks, friends’ basements, and whatever tiny VFW halls were letting local kids put on shows. What No Pressure continues to excel at is putting extremely personal lyrics to music that makes your muscles ache, longing for a pit. In “Our Bond”, songwriter Parker Canon kicks off the second verse with lyrics, “So it’s safe to say I am / Facing the loss of my old man / I’ll move forward when I can / I know you’ll understand”, sounding more like a person simply trying to explain the depths of his grief to a friend, rather than a frontman singing along to something so catchy. No Pressure closes out the album with “Inside”, whose outro rings out with a line so classic, it takes me back to the days when my friends and going to shows were the entire scope of my world. “Yeah I’ve been here before / And I’ll be here again / And if I seem tall / It’s ‘cause I stand on my friends…”. No Pressure delivered what feels like an instant summer classic that I’m sure will be heavily in rotation throughout the year.
