Louder Than Life returns for its fifth year September 27th-29th, bringing with it all the best of rock n’ roll, whiskey, and food. Looking to be its biggest year and lineup yet, the festival will be held at its new location, Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center. Danny Wimmer Presents also states that “festival attendees will enjoy a variety of onsite food and beverage experiences, as well as sponsor activations that celebrate the bourbon culture and culinary heritage of this unique American city”.
The fun doesn’t stop there however, over 50 acts will play across multiple stages throughout the 3-day festival. Most notable are Saturday night headliners Guns N’ Roses, who have not played a show since December 2018. Another notable act of the weekend will be Friday night’s performance of Staind, a definite must-not-miss moment of festival as the band has not played public show in five years. Wimmer says “Staind has been one of the most requested bands on our socials, and it’s an honor to be bringing their music back for Louder Than Life”. The weekend will also include powerhouse performances by Slipknot, A Day to Remember, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Godsmack, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, and Ice Cube.
If the bands alone aren’t enough to draw you, the plethora of whiskey, craft beer, and food just might change your mind. The Kroger Big Bourbon bar will be onsite serving specially curated drinks for all bourbon lovers. Jack Daniels will be setting up a 5,000+ square foot bar for all the sports lovers who don’t want to miss any games during the festival, and if you’re looking for something on the lighter side of the liquor, Heavy Tiki Bar presented by Jim Bean will be onsite serving up rum punches and frozen daiquiris. As for food, well, let’s just say there definitely will not be any shortage of barbeque or pulled pork! Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options will be made available as well.
