Los Angeles based recording artist, songwriter and actor James Maslow has recently released the lyric video for his latest single “Love U Sober”, a euphoric dance track about his life and past relationships and differentiating between love and lust. Maslow is best known for his role as James Diamond on the Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush and as a singer in a band of the same name. Acknowledging that it was a wonderful time in his career, Maslow has since moved on to a solo music endeavor. “A large portion of the music I’m going to put out is influenced by my past relationships. “Love U Sober” acknowledges the fact that I was in a relationship with someone and we had so much fun, but after many months, I began to question it,” shares Maslow. “The sad part was the connection wasn’t as real as I thought; it was masked by the emotion of partying. Saying I want to love you sober might be more literal than people realize.” He adds, “I wanted to release “Love U Sober” first because we did a remix at the beginning with live interviews that recap my past with Big Time Rush, and all the wonderful things I was able to experience. I’m grateful for everything that helped me get here, but now I’m moving forward. This is the beginning of my journey as a solo artist.”
