Just in time for summer, Mike Posner has released a new The Truth EP on June 22nd via Island Records. The four tracks are all beautiful in their own ways and perfectly encompasses the talent of Mike Posner. He is well known for his hit single “Cooler Than Me,” a super catchy electro pop single, but this EP is far from it, Posner deciding to take an acoustic approach.

“I Took A Pill In Ibiza” starts The Truth off in a simple melodic way and speaks towards his experiences within the music industry in his past. The song is personal, deep and filled with heart. The second and third track, “Buried in Detroit” and “Not That Simple” are both also very wonderful and beautiful, showing that Posner’s voice can take on various ranges. The EP leaves off with the single “Be As You Are” which is a bit more upbeat than the other tracks. The song is uplifting and sends and important message to listeners – be as you are.

These four tracks are incredible and it is easy to tell that Mike Posner has spilled his heart into these tracks. The EP is incredibly strong and powerful, sending great messages to everyone who listens. It is also perfect for those late night road trips and spending time with your friends. For an awesome, more mellow summer soundtrack, look no further than The Truth EP by Mike Posner.
