Joanne Shaw Taylor releases her latest music video for “The Best Thing”

British-born and Detroit-based Blues Rock artist Joanne Shaw Taylor recently released the music video for the track “The Best Thing” from her upcoming album Reckless Heart.  The album will be released on May 17th via Silverstone/Sony Records.  Inspired to write a mid-tempo soul song after seeing Chris Stapleton in concert, Joanne wrote the hook in an Uber on the way home, and the song, which confidently puts a lover on warning for not committing, was completed by the next morning.  Having already garnered plenty of acclaim overseas, Taylor will be kicking off her upcoming tour in support of her new album on May 11th, performing to a US audience that has begun to recognize the talented artist and her formidable talent as a songwriter and guitarist.  Her tour will include headlining dates, as well as festival appearances.

Throughout her career, Joanne has won over fans such as Stevie Wonder, Joe Bonamassa (whose band played on Joanne’s 2016’s UK Top 20 hit album Wild), Foreigner (whom she opened for at venues like Royal Albert Hall) and Annie Lennox (with whom she performed in front of Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert in 2012). Discovered at age 16 by Eurythmics co-founder Dave Stewart, she has spent a decade releasing increasingly successful albums, touring the world, headlining festivals, and amassing awards, and 2019 is sure to bring a lot more from Joanne.
