BETWEEN FRIENDS release their debut playlist ‘we just need some time together’ and single “blushing!”

LA laptop dream pop band BETWEEN FRIENDS released their debut playlist we just need some time together, as well as the playlist’s final single “blushing!”, on March 5th.  Through the lens of their DIY art collective, BETWEEN FRIENDS aims to capture the beauty and madness of young adult life in the suburbs in the valley.  Mixing high end imagination and lo-fi visuals, they aim to create an intimate and inclusive counter culture that is just between friends. Comprised of Brandon Hudson, who spearheads production from their home studio, sister Savannah Hudson, who pens the bulk of the lush melodies and lyrics that ponder truth, love and adolescence and drummer Brennan Benko, BETWEEN FRIENDS crafts every visual aspect of the project, from styling to directing to editing to photography.  Brandon and Savannah have embraced the comfort and transparency in their relationship, letting it bloom into the electronically whimsy and spellbinding harmonies on we just need some time together.

As the final release off their playlist, “blushing!” flawlessly weaves the chorus’ sawtooth synthesizers with smooth and soothing verses, creating a dreamy, fantasy-like feeling as the song circles the listeners headphones. The art collective’s debut playlist/series of DIY videos includes previously released singles “better friends” and “affection” (which recently cleared 1 million streams on Spotify and appeared on the New Music Friday playlist), as well as “u can still come over” and  “iloveyou” (out via Better Sounds/Z Entertainment/Sony Music).
